Assistant Controller/Bookkeeper

North Hollywood, CA
We are looking for a full-time assistant controller/bookkeeper experienced with accounts payable, general ledger, journal entries, cash receipts, disbursements, and more.  This is a fast moving position for a go-getter personality.
Job Description:
  • Coding, obtaining approval for and payment of vendor invoices in a service related-entity
  • Maintain General Ledger
  • Analyze and reconciling account balances
  • Prepare adjustments to accounting records
  • Reconcile company bank accounts
  • Prepare special reports required for management
  • Filing and remitting business licenses, property taxes and other business filings
Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3– 5 years of bookkeeping  experience in a medium sized company
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to interact with several partners
  • Must possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to multi-task and must be very organized
  • Familiarity with SAGE 100, preferred but intimate familiarity with other accounting software will suffice
  • High level of experience working with Excel required
  • Experience with payroll, ADP reporting, 1099's and A/R preferred
